Why should I use a Licensed Mover?
They just closed the back of the truck and drove away with all my worldly possessions…
They said they’ll be there in an hour, tomorrow, or next week on a long-distance move to deliver…
These are the folks I met for the first time earlier today…
Scary, huh? Proper licensing assures you that the moving company does exist. It assures you there is an owner who has taken the time to do things correctly. They have the necessary insurance in case of a problem. What if one of his men gets hurt during the move? What if there is furniture loss or damage? What if they back over your mailbox or other things that can go wrong?
It allows you recourse in the event of a mishap. It is certainly an indication they are in it for the long haul (pun intended!) It shows they have standards by which they conduct business. Most of you work at or own businesses that have some form of licensing. Shouldn’t you hold the folks you hire to come into your home to the same standards?
A Moving License is a Commitment
A commitment to do things the best way possible, all the way down to the fine print.
